Pepi Gramshammer
Pepi was a member of the Austrian national ski team and Professional Ski Racers’ Association. After coming to the United States in 1960 to race professionally, he moved to Vail in 1962 where he operated Gasthof Gramshammer, Pepi’s Bar & Restaurant, and Pepi Sports Ski Shop. He was instrumental in obtaining the 1989, 1999 and 2015 FIS World Alpine Ski Championships for Colorado and has raised nearly $2 million to support ski related organizations in Colorado. He passed away on August 17, 2019.
