Henry Christian Hall

Henry was one of America’s first great ski jumpers. In 1917, he became the first person to break the 200 foot ski jumping barrier with his 203 foot jump at Howelsen Hill. He was the first American to ever set the world record in ski jumping. In 1921, after serving the U.S. during World War I, he returned to ski jumping and reclaimed his world record by jumping 229.5 feet at Revelstoke, British Columbia.
